Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) Twenty dog cutouts were installed on the Paws ‘N Play Dog Park fence along Peach Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
“I came up with the idea on the internet where other dog parks had done it,” said Dennis Boucher, dog park board member. After getting approval from the board, he searched for someone who could make the cutouts and settled on DJ’s Metal Art in Withee.
The board picked from about 200 dog samples. “We picked out 20 dogs, which are usually dogs which come to the dog park,” he said.
The metal silhouettes were secured with tamper-proof bolts to protect from theft. Their purchase was made possible through the organization’s yearly fundraising efforts at the fair.
“I think it’ll dress it up. As people are driving by, they’ll know it’s the dog park just by looking,” Boucher said.
