PITTSVILLE, WI (OnFocus) – Alyssa Anderson and members of the Pittsville Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter are organizing a “color run” to raise funds for Scarlett Griffith, a 9-year-old girl from Port Edwards who has been battling cancer since the age of 2.5 years old. Scarlett recently underwent a bone marrow transplant and the funds raised through the color run will go directly to her family to help cover medical expenses.
The color run will take place on June 3rd at 9am at Pittsville Elementary School (5459 Elementary Ave). In addition to the run, there will be basket raffles available. Registration for the event, as well as the option to purchase a t-shirt and make a monetary donation, is available at https://color-run-for-scarlett.cheddarup.com.
The color run is open to all ages and fitness levels, with participants encouraged to wear white clothing to better show off the vibrant colors of the non-toxic, biodegradable powder that will be thrown throughout the course. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Scarlett’s family to help cover medical expenses and other costs associated with her treatment.
