Agriculture Emergencies Main Topic of Discussion
PITTSVILLE, WI (OnFocus) – The Pittsville Fire Company hosted an Ag Rescue Training program for area first responders on Oct. 23.
The training involved a litany of different scenarios first responders might run in to while responding to a farm setting. Crews worked through silo rescues, tractor rollovers, farm equipment on a vehicle situations, airlift situations and much more.
Departments that were in attendance consisted of: Sherry, Richfield, River Falls, Arpin, Iola, Town of Lincoln, Stratford, Vesper, and many others.
Life Link III based out of Minneapolis sent a helicopter to perform a mock airlift situation.
The Stone Press Paninis food truck provided lunch for those in attendance. The event was held at the Heiman Holstein Farm and Heeg Farms Inc.
Pittsville Fire Company Chief Jerry Minor thanked everyone involved in the planning and carrying out of the event in a Facebook post on the Company’s page.
