PITTSVILLE, WI (OnFocus) – Friday, September 29th, Pittsville will host its first Homecoming Parade in almost 40 years. And instead of only one parade, there will be two parades.

“We are extremely excited for the entire week of activities but especially Friday, and look forward to celebrating in grand fashion with families and the community,” stated Jason Knott, District Administrator.

The Childcare Center through 5th grade will kick off the festivities with a mini parade at approximately 9:45 AM on campus. There will be an all-school pep assembly in the varsity gym at approximately 12:30 PM.

The main downtown parade will begin at 2:15. High school classes, organizations and sports teams will have floats. “A line-up of convertibles will be carrying the Grand Marshalls and Homecoming Court” added Knott.

Community members are welcome to attend all three events. All three will also be streamed on Facebook Live through the District Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/PittsvilleWISD

Check the Pittsville School District Facebook Page for an updated schedule of events for the week, parade routes, and other pertinent information. Local businesses have been participating in the Homecoming Spirit with decorations showing their Panther Pride! Photos will be shared on Facebook throughout the week.
