PITTSVILLE, WI (OnFocus) – Pittsville Area Community Theater is bringing theatrical chops and fresh talent to the stage with this new rendition of “A Christmas Carol”, based on the beloved Dickens classic. “It’s an exciting show to do and at just the right time,” said Andrew Spencer, Director at Pittsville Area Community Theater. “We’re having a blast bringing the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge to life.”

The Joy of the Season Live Onstage

Local talent abounds in “A Christmas Carol”. Greg Jackan takes the role of Ebeneezer Scrooge. He is visited by four ghosts – Jacob Marley as played by Ed Krall, Christmas Past as played by Halana Versey, Christmas Present as played by Carly Rhyner, and Christmas Yet to Come as played by Wes Reshel – who warm his cold heart and teach him the meaning of Christmas. The supporting cast features veteran community members and an abundance of student talent from the Pittsville School District, some of whom are taking the stage for the first time as part of a new partnership with PACT.

“PSD, and especially teacher Rob Perkins, have been so supportive in bringing this theatrical opportunity to the students,” said Spencer. “There is nothing quite like putting on a play to teach about teamwork, communication, and also art and culture.”

Set in 1840s London, “A Christmas Carol” reveals the secrets of Scrooge’s past, present, and future. “A Christmas Carol” tickets are available online right now at Eventbrite.com for $12, and same day at the door for $15. Children under 10 are $6.00.

“A Christmas Carol” is performed at the Pittsville Auditorium, 5459 Elementary Ave, Pittsville WI 54466. The show has only 3 performances, so catch it while you can:

  • Friday December 13th: 7:30 pm
  • Saturday December 14th: 2 pm
