Week 5 of the High School Football Season saw outstanding performances across the state from running backs.

Two area backs, Aiden Kolar of Pittsville and Brycen Cashin of Pacelli had two of the best outings.

Kolar ran for 250 yards on 37 carries, earning the running back a nomination as OnFocus Athlete of the Week for Sep 12 – 18
Cashin continues to churn out oustanding performances, and could easily be listed as an athlete of the week nominees just about any week. In Week 5, Cashin ran for 211 yards and 6 rushing touchdowns.
WEEK 5 RUSHING LEADERS
Cambridge ran for more than 500 yards as a team in a 53-7 victory over Dodgeland on Friday, with most of the damage done by senior running back Trey Colts. He carried the ball just 20 times, but went for 444 yards and six touchdowns on the ground, averaging 22.2 yards per carry. His rushing total is seventh-most in state history. Colts also caught two passes for 29 yards and a touchdown while adding five tackles on defense.
