Plover Black Sox Claims Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Marshfield Legion

Plover Black Sox ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-3 victory over Marshfield Legion on Thursday. The game was tied at two with Plover Black Sox batting in the top of the fifth when Thomas Hunt‘s sac fly scored two runs for Plover Black Sox.

Cyle Zblewski was the winning pitcher for Plover Black Sox. The righty surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Daul took the loss for Marshfield Legion. The hurler lasted six and a third innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out four.

Kenny Schultz started the game for Plover Black Sox. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking zero

Hunt went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Plover Black Sox in hits.

Higgins led Marshfield Legion with two hits in three at bats.
