MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – A man visiting from Georgia claims to have been locked into Wildwood Zoo last week after the zoo closed at 6:00pm. He chronicled his experience in a 7-part TikTok video series on his page, @MattAfterDark.

According to his videos, Matt did not hear an announcement that the zoo was closing and subsequently was locked into the zoo. After contacting police (who do not have a key to the zoo), officers assisted Matt in climbing over a spot in the fence.
Marshfield Police Department declined to comment on the incident as it is still under investigation.
This isn’t the first time a video from Marshfield has gone viral. Last year, a video about MMC went viral. Marshfield PD and Wildwood Zoo have also gone viral previously, the former for a Lip Sync video and the latter for a Christmas feast featuring the zoo’s deer.
