Police Reports: Altercations, K9 Drug Bust, Burglaries

Dec. 30

A 44-year-old reported that sometime between the listed time frame someone lit off fireworks and left a glass jar with various different items in it on the lawn of the listed address. A potential suspect was provided and contact was made with a 34-year-old Marshfield female.

Jan. 2

A 52-year-old Marshfield woman reported a 31-year-old Wausau male to have entered her residence and took nearly $1,200 in Christmas gifts. Burglary charges will be directed to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

Jan. 4

A Marshfield Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after a 50-year-old Marshfield male failed to stop at a posted stop sign. During the stop K9 Rika alerted the presence of a controlled substance and 3.5 grams of THC was collected from inside the vehicle. The 50-year-old male was cited for OAR, Fail to install 110, and possession of THC. Charges are also being requested through the Wood County DA for four counts of Bail Jumping.

Jan. 5

A 36-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody on a valid probation hold. After booking procedures the man was transported to Wood County jail.

A Marshfield woman reported that on the night of December 30th there was between 5-7 individuals that were hitting the camera in the Jer Lang Show Palace with hockey pucks, however there was no damage done. On the night of January 4th the security camera was damaged by being struck by one of the hockey pucks. Warnings for Disorderly Conduct were given to all those involved.

Jan. 6

A 39-year-old Marshfield female entered a private residence without consent and caused a disturbance. Charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

Jan. 8

A 43-year-old Marshfield woman called to report an incident that happened on the above date involving a 52-year-old Marshfield female. Tamara stated the female became upset in the urgent care department and began yelling and being disorderly. The female did make a comment about returning to Urgent Care and burning it to the ground. Tamara only wanted the incident documented and did not want the female contacted by law enforcement.

Jan. 9

A Marshfield woman called to report a disturbance involving her roommate’s boyfriend. The woman stated the 43-year-old Marshfield male started yelling and at one point punched a door leading to the upstairs. The complainant stated she had no idea why he was upset with her as she had not communicated with him or seen him all day. I made phone contact with the male and he stated he was “blowing off steam” and didn’t even know the complainant was in the residence. The complainant only wished for the incident to be documented. The male was warned for his disorderly behavior.

A 29-year-old Marshfield woman went to the Marshfield Police Station to report receiving numerous text messages from a 34-year-old Minnesota man that she used to reside with. Earlier in the day the man had called asking for officer assistance with having his stimulus check mailed to him by the complainant. That had been handled and confirmed the complainant certify mailed the check. Since that point the man has continuously texted the complainant and made various threatening in nature remarks. The man was warned or he will be cited for any further contact. The complainant will be changing her cell number and possibly file for a restraining order if behavior continues.

A 23-year-old Marshfield woman reported that a 29-year-old Marshfield man violated an injunction and reported other behaviors the man engaged in to be stalking. The man was located and arrested. He was transported to Wood County Jail. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

Jan. 10

A Fleet Farm employee reported that a customer located a plastic baggie with a green leafy substance inside the bag, on the store floor while shopping today. The customer turned the item in and the employee wished to turn it over to Law Enforcement. The Officer collected the item, logged it into evidence for it to be destroyed. There are no known suspects at this time.

Jan. 11

A 39-year-old woman came into the Marshfield Police Department lobby to report threatening Facebook messenger messages. The complainant recently moved to Wisconsin in regards to a relationship and extended family members from the woman’s significant other’s side have been threatening her. The complainant said she had been accused of threatening a child in the family but said this was false and now has received a message from a member of the family stating they were going to kill her.

A 40-year-old Marshfield male reported his clothes were stolen out of a local laundromat. Marshfield Police Department has a description of a suspect and awaiting video surveillance. Case continued.

Jan. 12

A 62-year-old Marshfield woman reported a physical altercation between her and her daughter, a 35-year-old female. The female was arrested and transported to MMC for medical clearance and later to Wood County Jail. Charges of Battery (Domestic Related), Disorderly Conduct, and Bail Jumping will be requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

A 43-year-old Marshfield male reported someone operating a snowmobile in his neighborhood. Police checked the area and found a 22-year-old Marshfield male operating a snowmobile in the area. During the contact it was learned the male had a valid Wood County warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Wood County Jail.

Jan. 13

A 53-year-old Marshfield woman called reporting a physical altercation that just occurred with her son, a 25-year-old Marshfield male. Upon further investigation, the woman was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, domestic related. She was transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking procedures and later released after bond was posted.
