Police Reports: Fair Vandalism and 4th Offense OWI

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – August 28

A 32-year-old Marshfield man called dispatch to report a disturbance at the listed address in which a 51-year-old Loyal woman had arrived and began yelling at the tenants. The suspect also had taken clothing items and used lighter fluid to bum them. The suspect was taken into custody and later turned over to family members. Charges for Disorderly Conduct and Arson of property other than a building will be referred to Wood County District Attorney’s office.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, a 39-year-old Marshfield male was arrested for 4th offense OWI. During the arrest, suspected marijuana was located within the vehicle. The male was transported to Marshfield Medical Center for a blood draw and later to Wood County Jail. A Charge of Possession of THC (2nd + Offense) will be requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

August 29

An anonymous caller notified dispatch that a 19-year-old Marshfield man appeared to be under the influence while he was struggling push mowing a yard. Officers made contact and the man displayed several signs of impairment. The man was taken into custody for Felony Bail Jumping due to his impairment. After medical clearance the man was transported to Wood County jail.

A 58-year-old Marshfield woman reported sometime between the above time frame it appears a vehicle traveling west-bound on W. McMillan Street struck her and her neighbor’s mailbox causing minor damage. No suspects.

A 41-year-old River Falls man reported an unknown person(s) scratched the side of his business trailer and a television that he used as a display mechanism on the outside of the trailer. It was obvious the scratches were intentionally made as there was an unreadable word and a stick figure drawn on the trailer. The Fair office staff stated they had no security cameras in the area where the trailer was parked and there are no suspects at this time.

A Fair office member reported a physical altercation near the Fair office. During the investigation it was learned from several witnesses that a 42-year-old Marshfield male attacked a 45-year-old Illinois male. The Illinois male did not want to pursue charges; however, the suspect was located and arrested for Disorderly Conduct. The suspect was taken to the Marshfield Police Department where he was booked and later released. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA’s office.

August 31

A 44-year-old Marshfield man reported his bicycle was stolen at Menards. The man said he works there and has had co-workers look at the surveillance footage but a suspect was not observed on camera. Entered into NCIC. MDPD does not have any suspects at this time.

A 30-year-old Marshfield man stated an 18-year-old Marshfield female was slandering his business on Google through the reviews and would like her talked to. Phone contact was unsuccessful with the female and a voicemail was left stating she was receiving a warning for these actions and if she did not stop further law enforcement action would be taken. The man was notified of the outcome. No further action taken.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 100 block of W Cleveland St. A 48-year-old Marshfield female was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct/ Domestic Abuse and Criminal Damage to Property. A 42-year-old Marshfield male was taken into custody for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking and then to the Wood County Jail.

September 1

A 42-year-old Kansas woman reported her school bus where she resides in was possibly broken into while she was out of town. The woman stated she does not have any evidence of this but has noticed several indications that it was a possibility. The woman wanted the incident on file incase further evidence is found or another incident occurs.

Two males were observed in a physical altercation at a Marshfield residence. A 36-year-old Marshfield male was taken into custody and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges of Domestic Abuse Related Battery and Criminal Damage to Property will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

A 56-year-old Marshfield male contacted police after observing a 42-year-old Marshfield woman outside a building screaming and bleeding. The 42-year-old was reportedly bit by her dog. The 42-year-old was ultimately transported by ambulance to MMC.
