Marshfield Police Department Reports
February 5
Complainant reported that a 35-year-old Marshfield female selected items and left the last point of payment without paying for those items, the female then fled the store without identifying herself. The female was contacted in the parking lot and was also trespassed from Wal-Mart due to previous thefts. The female was identified, and released, a citation for trespass to land will be issued and charges for retail theft will be sent to the Marathon County DA’s office.
February 6
A 62 year old Marshfield woman called to report a disturbance with her 42 year old son whom resides with her. Prior to officer arrival the son left the residence while the mother was calling dispatch. Upon contact the mother explained that she had asked her son to help around the apartment as he does nothing. He then became enraged and yelled numerous profanities and derogatory comments at his mother. The suspect proceeded to get within inches of the mothers face with his fists clenched. Suspect then threw items around the apartment, took his belongings and quickly left. 72 hour no contact was enacted. When contact is made with the son he will be taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct-Domestic. Charge referred to Wood County District Attorney’s office. Booked and released upon posting bond.
Complainant reported that a 30-year-old Marshfield male who was a tenant in the upstairs apartments at 801 S. Central Ave, has been staying in the basement of 837 S. Central Ave without permission. Complainant said they still have his property to include clothes and no longer want him on the property. Complainant at this time just wants him to be warned. Message was left with the last known phone number of the male. Extra Patrol is requested for the area.
A traffic stop was performed and K9 Rika indicated to the presence of a controlled substance within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was completed and a 17-year-old Loyal female was arrested. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office for possession with intent THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Victim reported that his vehicle was taken with out consent from his residence. At this time there are no known suspects although the vehicle has been taken with out consent before and found in the Wisconsin Rapids area. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen. For more information please see taped report. Wisconsin Rapids Police Department located the vehicle and a 25-year-old Marshfield Female was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle without owners consent. Charges will be sent to the Wood County D.A’s office.
February 8
Officers were dispatched to a physical domestic involving the complainant and a 31 year old Marshfield male. The male was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and was transported to jail after not being able to post bond. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
A man reported he left the doors unlocked and keys in the ignition when he parked his vehicle in lot 5 of the Marshfield Clinic before work. He stated after work his vehicle was missing.
February 9
Complainant reported receiving a text message sent by what appeared to be her ex, a 43 y/o Loganville male. The male was contacted and was adamant that he did not send the message. Throughout the investigation it was learned that the complainant obstructed this officer, changing her phone contact name of the 43 y/o male to a missed call on her call log. She was issued a citation for obstructing.
Complainant contacted law enforcement regarding his neighbor, a 29 y/o Marshfield male coming over to his residence informing him of an altercation that had just occurred between him and his boyfriend, a 37 y/o Marshfield male. Contact was made with the two males and the 37 y/o was arrested for Disorderly Conduct/Domestic Abuse and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. The male was booked at Marshfield Police Department and transported to Wood County Jail. Charges will be requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
