Marshfield Police Department Reports
9.18.19 at 1609: Wood County dispatch received multiple reports of an adult female lying facedown in the middle of W. 14th Street. Upon arrival, officers identified the 19 year-old Marshfield female. She belonged to a nearby group home and her caregivers were on scene. The female refused to get off the ground and Marshfield Fire and Rescue was dispatched to respond. With assistance from the caregivers, the female became cooperative and was transported back to her residence by EMS.
9.18.19 at 1119: It was reported that a 12 year-old student was out of control and attempting to damage items at the Middle School. Upon arrival, contact was made with the student where he was kicking chairs and yelling obscenities at staff and officers. The student also damaged a flower pot in the officer conference room. The student’s mother was contacted and was already on scene upon arrival. The mother ultimately convinced the student to leave the school where she drove him home without incident. Juvenile Referral was completed for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property.
9.18.19 at 1806: A woman reported that there were several elementary aged children that play in the front yard by the road while the parents are in the residence. She stated there have been incidents in which the kids will suddenly go out into the road without looking and cars will sometimes have to slam on their brakes. Contact was made with the parents and they were made aware of the concerns. The officer did not observe any young children in the road at the time.
9.17.19 at 0639: An anonymous report regarding a 57 year-old Marshfield man lying in his driveway in his underwear on West Ives Street. An officer took community caretaker action and had the ambulance transport the man to the MMC emergency room due to the man’s condition. Emergency room staff advised the man would be admitted to the hospital due to his low body temperature. The man was intoxicated but a chapter 51.45 was determined to be unnecessary due to the hospital admission.
9.15.19 at 2238: Suspicious activity was reported on Maple Ave. One of the suspicious subjects, a 36 year-old Marshfield woman, had an outstanding DOC warrant. Officer checked several residences. At an E. 25th Street address, a 63 year-old Marshfield man told officers the wanted woman was inside. Officers saw the woman, who then fled. The officer chased the woman into the trailer and captured her. In doing so, a 38 year-old unresponsive female was located. The unresponsive woman had non-fatally overdosed. Officers administered Narcan and requested MFLD ambulance. The trailer was searched and numerous drug items were located. Both women were ultimately arrested. Both are being transported to Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
9.15.19 at 1608: A 31-year-old white female contacted police and reported her 31 year-old live-in boyfriend took her debit card without her permission and used it. It was determined the boyfriend has used the debit card on a regular basis on other dates. When officers made contact with the boyfriend, it was determined he was in violation of bond conditions. The male was arrested and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges of Bail Jumping will be requested through the Wood County DA’s office and the Marathon County DA’s office.
9.15.19 at 0014: A 33-year-old white male contacted the Marshfield Police Department after a disturbance was created by a 35 year-old Marshfield male. The male left prior to officer’s arrival and was located near his residence. The male was found to be on Probation and in violation of his rules. The male was taken into custody, booked and then transported to Wood County Jail. Charges were requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
9.15.19 at 2000: An officer reported that he received a complaint from a 20 year-old Stevens Point female in which she indicated she had received Facebook messages from a 32 year-old Marshfield man. The male is currently out on bond through Marathon County and these messages would be a violation. Contact was made with the suspect. The suspect was found to be in violation of his bond. The suspect was transported to the Wood County Jail. Wood County Crisis Intervention was contacted. A request for charges will be filed with the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
9.13.9 at 1547: A 43-year-old female informed police that she received a phone call from the Wisconsin Northern Consortium requesting forms be resubmitted in reference to the income verification reimbursement that she has been receiving. The women stated that she has not submitted any forms in the last five years and was then informed over the phone that a 45 year old Marshfield female has been submitting the forms stating that the reporting female is her employer in order to obtain certain benefits. The women confirmed with the company that she has not been submitting any forms and has never been an employer of the suspect. Follow-up to continue.
9.12.19 at 1800: A 46-year-old male reported a male and female subject confronted him in the parking lot of an apartment complex and a verbal argument between them occurred. The victim walked away and was approached again in the parking lot of a grocery store a block away from the residence. The male and female exited their vehicle and threatened violence against the male subject. The male and female got back into their vehicle and returned to their residence.
