February 19
A 37-year-old Marshfield male is facing charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver THC, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Psilocybin (mushrooms), Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia subsequent to a Friday night traffic stop and alert by K9 Rika. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 23.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 155.5 grams of suspected marijuana, 5 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, several schedule 4 prescription pills, suspected THC wax, a 9mm handgun with loaded magazines, and a variety of drug paraphernalia items. The man was taken to the Wood County Jail. Excellent work by the involved officers toward keeping our community safe.
Complainant reported that the above listed items were taken from PVC tubes located outside the building on vehicles. There were no discernible footprints due to traffic in the alley and parking lot. There are no suspects at this time and a neighborhood canvas did not obtain any information. Local scrap yards were contacted and given the information. At this time there are no suspects.
Complainant reported that a 36-year-old male is either having a medical issue or under the influence of an intoxicants he was passed out and confused while driving the above listed vehicle. A short time later the male contacted Emergency services for medical treatment at the above location. The male was transported to the ER for treatment; the residence had damage to a door from the male. It was unable to be determined if it was a medical emergency or something else. The male lives with another adult female and her daughter. The adult female was not home and the act did cause fear to the daughter. It was decided that long term living arrangements will need to be made. At this time there is no criminal action that can be established.
The complainant reported a 28-year-old Hewitt woman had caused a small chip in the paint of her door handle while she was exiting her vehicle and parked next to the complainant’s vehicle. The woman said she placed her had on the outside of the door to prevent contact between the vehicles and did not believe she caused the chip in the door. Investigation is on-going.
February 20
Wood County Dispatch advised Officers that a 37-year-old Marshfield male called stating he was at the above residence packing up his personal belongings. While on the phone with dispatch he stated he did not want to get arrested though because he has a no contact with a 29-year-old Marshfield male and is to not be at the residence either per court order. See report for further details.
February 21
A 49-year-old Marshfield male who was heavily intoxicated was taken into custody at the above listed residence for Disorderly Conduct – Domestic Abuse. The male was in violation of his probation and a probation hold was authorized. He was transported to the MMC ER for medical clearance and then to the Wood County Jail.
A request for charges will be sent to the Marathon County District Attorney’s Office on 52-year-old Marshfield male for retail theft. The thefts occurred on five different dates during the above time frame and totaled $301.16.
February 23
A 69-year-old Marshfield man reported an unknown person(s) cut and removed the catalytic converter from his truck while it was parked in his driveway. A neighborhood canvas was conducted which yielded no useful information. There are no suspects at this time.
A disturbance was reported, officers responded. It was found that a 44-year-old Marshfield man had caused the disturbance. The 44-year-old yelled slurs at his 62-year-old neighbor. Taped report to follow.
A Wood County Crisis representative requested officers make contact at the above listed location to speak with a 70-year-old Marshfield male who has recently been displaying signs of poor mental health. The representative is currently working with the male subject’s son regarding future options to keep the male subject safe. Officers made multiple attempts to contact the male with no success. An ATL was sent out county wide via Wood Co Dispatch. The son does not wish to list his father as a missing person at this time nor is he overly concerned for his safety however it was agreed that if the father is not located by end of day officers would contact him and fill out the missing person paperwork. No further details. UPDATE: male was located at Marshfield Medical Center as he suffered a medical issue during the day and was admitted.
February 24
Complainant requested that a trespass letter be sent or delivered to a 55-year-old Marshfield male who has been coming onto the property and causing concerns and disruptions with other tenants. The male was not at his residence but the letter which a copy is included was mailed to him. At this time the only enforcement action needed is assistance with the letter to the male.
A 29-year-old Marshfield woman stated she was stuck by a vehicle that was backing up when she was attempting to drive forward through the parking lot. She stated she was hit in the front passenger side however there is no damage to her vehicle. She was able to provide a license plate but was unable to give any further descriptions of the vehicle or driver. Officers spoke with the female registered owner who stated she did not strike the complainant, however, it was a close call. Officers watched video footage and there was no evidence that there was physical contact between the two vehicles and also took photos of the complainant’s vehicle. No further action was taken.
A 45-year-old Marshfield man reported receiving a notice from the WI Department of Workforce regarding unemployment benefits which he did not apply for. The man confirmed with DWD that someone did attempt to claim benefits using his personal information. The man has taken the proper steps to notify the DWD of the issue and at this time there has been no financial loss. The man was instructed to review his credit reports and notify any financial institutions he feels appropriate to prevent any further issues. No further involvement.
A 21-year-old Marshfield woman reported an unidentified man walking past her house threatened her life and that of her dog. We were not able to find the man upon arrival. Extra patrol is requested.
February 25
A Traffic stop was conducted at the above listed location. As a result, a 32-year-old Pittsville man was taken into custody for OWI 5th offense. Probation and Parole was contacted and a hold was placed on the male. The male was later transported to the Wood County Jail.
February 26
During a traffic stop K-9 Rika indicated to a controlled substance in a vehicle. As a result a 41-year-old male was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting/Obstructing an Officer. The male was medically cleared at MMC and was transported to the Wood County Jail.
