7.4.19 at 22:51: A 26 year-old Texas male was arrested during a traffic stop for OWI (1st). The male was unable to make contact with a sober adult to sign the release to responsible party form. The male had a valid Taylor County warrant that was not servable during the time of the traffic stop. Contact with Taylor County was made and they agreed to a line meet. The male was left in the custody of Taylor County.

7.3.19 at 1400: A Marshfield man reported that his legally parked company vehicle was sideswiped by an unknown vehicle. Officer took photos of the damage and provided business card with case number. Officer advised the man that he would complete a report for the company’s insurance company.

7.2.19 at 1157: On the listed date and time a 19-year-old Marshfield man was arrested for Possession of THC following a traffic stop. He was transported to Marshfield PD for booking and then was released. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.

7.2.19 at 0310: Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle at a laundromat in Marshfield. Officers arrived and ultimately arrested a 39-year-old Marshfield man for drug offenses and an outstanding probation warrant. The man was transported to Marshfield PD for booking, then to Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA’s office.

7.2.19: A 40-year-old Arpin female was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of McMillan St and Galvin St. for a valid Wood County Sheriff’s Department warrant. She was transported to Marshfield PD for booking procedures, posted bond and was released.

6.30.19 at 1648: On the listed date and time a 44-year-old male was taken into custody for a domestic incident. While conducting a search of his property, two prescription bottles with pills inside were found, both of which were not prescribed to him. The owner of the prescriptions stated they were stolen about one month ago. The male was booked and transported to Wood County Jail.

6.30.19 at 1535: Victim reported that his roommate, a 44-year-old Marshfield male, became angry and a physical disturbance occurred between the two. During that disturbance the victim was bit on the arm by the other male, which caused pain and a visible injury. The male roommate was taken into custody and unable to post bond. The male was transported to Wood County Jail. The victim did not sign the no-contact waiver.

6.29.19 at 2136: Marshfield PD received a tip that a 37-year-old Rhinelander woman who has multiple arrest warrants was in the area and looking for a ride back to Rhinelander. The woman was taken into custody and based on her having an ongoing medical condition, transported via Marshfield EMS to Marshfield Medical Center for medical clearance to be taken to jail. On 6.30.19 the woman was released from MMC, booked at Marshfield PD, then transported to Marathon County Jail where she was turned over to a Langlade County Deputy to be brought to jail for their warrants.

6.29.19 at 1535: Complainant reported that a 40-year-old Marshfield male attempted to steal several items from a store in Marshfield. The male also has a No Trespassing order from the same department store. The male was cited for retail theft less than a year ago. He was taken into custody and probation was contacted. Probation placed a hold on the male and he was transported to Wood County Jail. Charges for Retail Theft and Trespassing will be sent to the Marathon County DA’s office.

6.28.19 at 1804: Marshfield PD received a notification that a 20-year-old Marshfield male attempted to purchase a firearm at a retail store in Marshfield. The man is on probation and was denied the purchase. Probation was contacted and because no crime was committed, a hold would not be placed. Information should be sent to probation and parole.

6.28.19 at 1710: The victim reported that a 41-year-old Marshfield man threatened to damage her residence via text message earlier that day. The responding officer later spoke to the man after reading the text and concluded that the man did not have intentions of damaging the property. On 6.29 the man texted and called the victim during which he spoke foul language to her and upon questioning admitted to doing to. He was warned for his behavior by two different officers. Arrangements had been made for him to pick up some of his belongings, which were placed on the front porch and in the detached garage. Further arrangements have been made for a possible civil standby.

6.28.19 at 1433: The manager for a retail store in Marshfield reported that a $20 counterfeit bill was received via a self-checkout lane. The manager could not definitively determine when the bill was exactly received. The currency was collected and entered into evidence.

6.27.19 at 1108: The complainant reported that he had received a text invitation for a sexual encounter from an unknown party which was part of an alleged group text. He does not know the person(s) who texted him, nor did he open the link to the invitation to view the website to join. He received a series of four different texts from the same parties that were included in the group text, although he didn’t respond to any of them.
