Marshfield Police Reports: November 12-19
November 14
A 68 year-old Marshfield man was arrested at his residence for three outstanding Wood County body-only warrants. The man was transported to MMC ER for medical clearance and then transported to Wood County Jail. A request for charges for 3 counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, Resisting and Officer, and Discharging bodily fluids at a public safety officer will be forwarded to the Wood County DA.
November 15
Police assistance was requested by Marshfield EMS after an 88 year-old Marshfield woman was found in her apartment non-responsive and non-breathing. The Wood County Coroner was contacted and the woman was later pronounced deceased. The woman’s family and Cuddie Funeral Home were also contacted.
November 16
Officer conducted a traffic stop, during which K9 Rika alerted to the presence of a controlled substance. A search was conducted and .6 grams of meth was located on the driver and a pipe was located in the car. A 37 year-old Marshfield male was arrested and transported to Wood County Jail. Charges will be requested through the Wood County DA.
A traffic stop was conducted at W 14th/Lincoln Ave. K9 Steffi alerted to the odor of a controlled substance within the vehicle. The 18 year-old male driver was arrested for Possession of THC, Absolute Sobriety, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Charges are being requested through Wood County DA on the passenger, a 21 year-old male for Possession of THC (2nd). Probation and Parole were contacted due to the passenger being on supervision. Multiple traffic citations were issued to the driver and charges will be requested through Wood County DA.
Complainant reported he observed a juvenile fire what appeared to be a BB gun out the window towards his residence. He stated he heard the projective ricochet off his metal siding. Officers made contact with a 14 year-old male. The male was accompanied by three other juveniles also inside the residence without an adult present. Officers could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from inside the residence and made entry. As a result, several drug related items were located and placed into evidence. A black airsoft pistol was also located.
November 17
Officers responded to a report of the smell of marijuana. Officers made contact and conducted an Act 79 search of a residence on Cedar Ave. The search yielded 67.3 grams of marijuana and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Charges will be requested through the Wood County DA.
November 18
Marathon County requested mutual aid from MPD. MNSO advised there was a female that broke into a male’s residence with unknown weapons. Officers arrived on scene and the parties were separated. Officers stood by until Marathon County Deputies arrive don scene and took over the complaint.
