- 11.01.18 at 22:42: Officers received an anonymous complaint of loud music from a Marshfield address. Contact was made with a 34 year-old Marshfield female who had numerous warrants. The female was taken into custody and was transported to Wood County Jail.
- 11.01.18 (reported) at 21:51: A 20 year-old Marshfield woman contacted police in regards to a welfare check on her 18 year-old sister. It was learned that many physical assaults have been occurring between her sister and her sister’s boyfriend, a 19 year-old Marshfield male. The male was arrested and a charge of strangulation will be requested through the Wood County DA’s office. Other information will be forwarded to the DA’s office for their review. An incident in Stratford was also reported and will be forwarded for their review.
- 11.01.18 at 18:20: A 73 year-old Marshfield man reported that an intoxicated 65 year-old Marshfield female had wrapped her arm around his neck in a chokehold fashion during a verbal dispute. Both parties were separated prior to officers arriving on scene. The female was arrested for Disorderly Conduct/Domestic Abuse Incident. Female was booked at MPD and transported to Wood County Jail. Charges will be filed with Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
- 11.01.18 at 14:30: A 34 year-old Marshfield man reported that an unknown male came to his residence and told the babysitter that he was there to replace the door knob on the service door to the garage. He stated that he did not call anyone to replace the door knob and that the one that was installed was not new. He stated that the description of the male and the truck he was driving doesn’t match any of his friends he can think of. The door knob was collected and the man requested extra patrol. The truck was described as being dark blue or black with ladders on the back and a sticker of a hand on the driver side back window.
- 10.30.18: A man staying at his daughter’s Marshfield apartment reported he lost his daughter’s keys to the apartment and it will cost $300 to get them replaced. The daughter said her father took the keys without permission but in further questioning it was found that he was staying there. Report was made in the event of future incidents and also probation.
- 10.30.18: On 6/12/18, a Marshfield woman reported the theft of a 70-inch flat screen TV from her apartment. She believed the suspect was her ex-boyfriend, the only other person who had access to the apartment. She said that due to recent arguments, and him stating she owed him money, he took the TV to sell. On 10/30, the woman reached out to MPD that her ex-boyfriend had admitted to her and her landlord that he took the TV. Contact was made with the landlord who also verified this. The ex-boyfriend, a 25 year-old Marshfield male refused to speak with an officer about the incident. A charge of theft will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
- 10.28.18 at 1:10: A 25 year-old Marshfield male was taken into custody while at a nightclub for yelling at employees after he had been warned earlier to stay away. The suspect was transported to the MPD for booking procedures and was later released. A request for charges will be sent to the Wood County Attorney’s Office.
- 10.28.18 at 1:48: A 38 year-old Stratford male was arrested during a traffic stop for possession of THC and OAR (OWI related). The male was transported to the MPD for booking procedures and was later released. Charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
- 10.27.18 at 13:40: On the listed date and time Walmart Loss Prevention contacted police after observing a 39 year-old man removing merchandise from its packaging and concealing it. The man was confronted as he attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise but fled on foot into a nearby store. Officers were able to located the man and some of the stolen merchandise, worth $98.94. The man was booked at the MPD and was then released. Charges are being brought to the Marathon County DA.
- 10.27.18 at 16:27: Pursuant to a traffic stop, a 19 year-old Marshfield male was arrested for possession of THC as well as a 19 year old Marshfield male for possession of drug paraphernalia. The males were transported to the MPD for booking procedures, and then released. Charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
- 10.27.18: Walmart Loss Prevention reported a retail theft of an Apple IPod worth $199 and Soundcore speaker worth $49.84. The 20 year-old Marshfield male was transported to the MPD for booking and later transported to the Marathon County Jail. Charges for retail theft, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia will be forwarded to the Marathon County District Attorny’s Office.
