MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – July 9
A 72-year-old Marshfield woman reported that she received a ride home from a 30-year-old Clark County female and is now missing several items. Contact was made with the 30-year-old female who admitted to having some of the items. During the investigation, Clark County Sheriffs Office was in contact with the female and located the 79-year-old’s pill bottle with the pills within the females property. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.
A victim reported that unauthorized transactions occurred on her Amazon Account. The victim did not have a detailed list of the items that were purchased under her account as she closed it. Amazon told her that she would be refunded and a new account was set up. The victim said if more information is able to be found she will provide it. At this time it is believed she will be refunded and her account is closed.
As a result of a traffic stop, a 19-year-old Marshfield female was taken into custody for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. The female was booked and later released.
July 11
A complainant reported that a 39-year-old Marshfield woman caused a physical disturbance in his bar. Police made contact with the 39-year-old woman, she was arrested for battery and later transported to Wood County Jail.
A 21-year-old Marshfield female reported she received harassing voicemails from a 23-year-old Loyal male. The 23-year-old male currently has an open bond through Wood County and was in violation of his bond conditions. Probation and Parole advised they would be placing a hold on the male and he was taken into custody and later transported to the Wood County Jail.
July 14
A 45-year-old Marshfield female had items on a table in their yard with a free sign posted on it. A male had taken the items off and took the table. The complainant said they did not intend giving the table away and want the table back. The vehicle the male used was caught on their home security cameras and the description is listed above.
A 24-year-old Marshfield female reported receiving multiple unwanted text messages and contact from a 55-year-old Arpin male with whom she had a previous relationship with. At this time, the female is requesting officers make contact with the male and inform him to stop all forms of contact with her. The male is currently homeless and living out of his vehicle. Contact was made with the male subject’s probation officer and with the male via cell phone. He was instructed to have no further contact of any kind with the female or enforcement action will be taken. A verbal warning for harassment was issued. No further involvement.
A Wal-Mart loss prevention employee reported a retail theft involving a male and juvenile female. Officers made contact with both individuals and the female was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Marshfield PD and released to a responsible party following booking procedures.
A 44-year-old Spencer female reported that her three children were locked out of their father’s residence. Contact with the father, a 46-year-old Marshfield male was made and he advised that his girlfriend accidentally locked the door. No further action needed.
A 53-year-old Marshfield woman reported observing a confrontation between three males following a minor vehicle crash. During the confrontation a male was struck in the face and the driver’s side handle of the above listed vehicle was damaged. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
July 15
A 19-year-old Owen male was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property after he broke two different windows at a Marshfield business. He was transported to WOSO jail. Charges for Criminal Damage to Property will be referred to the Wood County D.A.’s office.
A 75-year-old Marshfield man reported that his trailer he uses for supplies was attempted to be broken into. Entry was not gained, however there were muddy footprints on the back door and the handle that latches the door was bent out. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA for a 19-year-old Owen male who has made several other break in attempts in this area.
A 69-year-old Marshfield woman stated when she went out to her garage this morning she noticed both door handles on her vehicle were broken off. She stated her vehicle was locked and there was no entry made into her vehicle. A 19-year-old Owen male was arrested for criminal trespass and criminal damage to property. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.
Multiple complainants reported an on going physical altercation in a vehicle between a 51-year-old Marshfield woman and a 42-year-old Arpin male. Contact was made with the two and clarification was sought from the complainants. No physical altercation was substantiated. The occupants were warned that their public argument caused a disturbance. Elements of the domestic abuse criteria were not met.
A 40-year-old Neillsville woman reported an unknown female making prank phone calls to her cell phone. The complainant provided this officer with the number which appears on her caller ID. The complainant was advised to block that number and report any further incidents of this same nature. A search of that number was conducted however officers were unable to identify the owner of the number. No further involvement.
A 38-year-old Marshfield male reported that his vehicle was damaged. An officer took photographs and collected potential DNA. The man believes a 40-year-old Marshfield man did the damage. The complainant advised me he gave no person(s) permission to damage his vehicle. Investigation to continue.
A 47-year-old Marshfield woman reported a possible altercation between her daughter and her 31-year-old boyfriend. Contact was made with both subjects. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Wood County Jail. A request for charges will be filed with the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
A local attorney requested a welfare check on her client, a 74-year-old Marshfield man, after an 80-year-old Marshfield man called her with concerns that he hasn’t seen the man since 07/03/2021. The 80-year-old man was concerned for the man’s health. After multiple attempts of knocking on the man’s door, an officer made forced entry into the residence and found the man deceased. Wood County Deputy Coroner found the death to be natural causes.
