Marshfield Police Department Reports
7.24.19 at 1850: A Marshfield man reported a verbal disturbance that took place between him and his fiancée, a 36-year-old Marshfield man. Contact was made with both parties, and it was determined the incident did not meet the criteria for a Domestic Disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.
7.24.19 at 1740: A Marshfield woman reported a disturbance that took place between her and her husband, a 37-year-old Marshfield man. Parties were separated for the night and no further action was taken.
7.23.19: A Marshfield man was taken into custody in the 300 block of S Peach Ave for a probation violation. The man was transported to Marshfield PD for booking and later transported to Wood County Jail.
7.23.19: A 46-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody in the 1600 block of N Central Ave on a valid DOC warrant. The man was taken into custody, booked and then transported to Wood County Jail.
7.22.19 at 1305: A Marshfield woman reported that her boyfriend, a 27-year-old Marshfield man, had been missing. His phone, wallet, and keys were left at their shared residence. Immediate family members were called but no contact was made by the man. He was last seen wearing red and black shoes, light colored shorts and a T-shirt.
7.22.19 at 0420: A Marshfield man contacted police in reference to his 16-year-old son leaving the residence between 0300 hours and 0200 hours with his and his wife’s vehicle. While officers were speaking to the man, it was learned that the 16-year-old was parked at the zoo. The father and officers spoke to the boy and he was very emotional. The family is moving out of the area and it’s hard on the 16-year-old. The boy was warned for some violations and the father did not wish to pursue other violations.
7.22.19 at 0122: At the stated date and time, Marshfield EMS were requested after a Marshfield woman contacted them indicating she believed her son, a 25-year-old Marshfield male, was sick. Officers arrived and it was learned that the man had taken 60 Mucinex DM pills. He stated that he consumes that amount daily. The male did not state that he was suicidal but felt the world would be better off without him. The male was transported to MMC where a Red Sheet was left. Crisis was informed of the incident and requested a re-evaluation after he was treated at MMC.
7.21.19 at 2228: A Marshfield woman reported a physical altercation that had just occurred between her and her roommates and they were threatening to kick her out of the residence. The woman stated she was barricaded in her room and requested officer assistance. As a result of the incident a 27-year-old Marshfield male was arrested for Disorderly Conduct/Domestic Charges as well as multiple drug-related charges. The woman was also arrested for multiple drug-related charges.
7.21.19 at 2138: A 50-year-old Marshfield man was taken into custody for a probation violation. The male was transported to Marshfield PD for booking procedures, then to Wood County Jail.
7.21.19 at 1135: An employee from a Marshfield gas station contacted police regarding a retail theft. The employee provided video of the incident and attempts to identify the suspect were successful. The male was identified as a 16-year-old from Spencer and he was issued a citation.
7.21.19 at 1124: A 20-year-old Marshfield man was arrested after violating a No Contact order put in place by Probation and Parole. He was booked and transported to Wood County Jail.
7.21.19 at 1100: A Marshfield woman called and reported that her father, a 40-year-old Marshfield man, took an overdose of his prescription medication. Marshfield Police along with Marshfield Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. The 40-year-old man was taken via ambulance to MMC ER. The man admitted that he took the pills in order to kill himself. Photos of text messages admitting his intentions were taken for evidence. A Red Sheet was left with medical staff, and they will call when he is medically cleared in order to be evaluated.
7.20.19 at 1700: A complainant reported that a pink insulin pump was found at the fairgrounds by staff. The item was turned over to Marshfield PD Chief Gramza on 7/22/19. They have located the owner, but coordination of the found property has been done via Facebook, between the PD and the owner’s husband. The item was sent to her via FedEx.
7.20.19 at 1146: A Marshfield Medical Center doctor reported that one of his patients, a 79-year-old Marshfield man, reported to him neglect from his nursing home staff. Contact was made with the male who was later picked up from MMC by his son and transported to his Edgar residence. Similar abuse/neglect allegations were recently reported but were found to have no evidence.
7.20.19 at 1129: On the listed date and time a Marshfield man requested emergency services after he located a 71-year-old woman unresponsive and not breathing. Officers and paramedics arrived and found the woman deceased. The Wood County Coroner and representatives from Rembs Funeral Home responded to the scene.
7.20.19 at 0257: A Marshfield woman reported that she had just came home from work and saw a man that she did not know inside her house. Officers arrived, and as a result, a partially nude male subject exited the residence and started running from the police. Officers were able to capture the man and take him into custody. Probation was contacted and a hold was placed. The man was transported to MMC ER for medical clearance, then MPD for booking. The man was then taken to Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA’s office.
7.19.19 at 1310: A Marshfield woman contacted police after she was notified by her bank that numerous deposits and transactions appeared fraudulent. Follow-up to continue.
7.10.19 at 1355: A Marshfield woman contacted police after a semi-truck took down a cable line at an intersection in Marshfield. As a result, there was damage to a power line transformer. The operator of the semi made no attempt to stop after the accident. A trailer plate was obtained, and contact was made with the owner of the trucking company. Ultimately, it was confirmed that the trailer plate was stolen and is no longer affiliated with the original trucking company. No other suspect information currently. The previous owner was directed to report the license plate that was stolen to his local jurisdiction.
