Police Reports: Sisters Dispute Over Father’s Possessions

8.21.20 at 1506
A victim reported that she sent a check in the mail for a bill and that the check never arrived at the company she sent it to. The victim said the check was then cashed at another bank not associated with the company she wrote the check out to. At this time the victim is at a lost for the amount the check was written out for and the bill also has not been paid.

8.21.20 at 1850
Wal-Mart Loss Prevention reported a 34-year-old Marshfield male had skip scanned $248.63 worth of merchandise and attempted to leave the store. The male fled the property before officers arrived on the scene. Probation & Parole was contacted and a request for charges for misdemeanor bail jumping as well as bail jumping are being forwarded to the Marathon County District Attorney’s Office.

8.22.20 at 1248
A Marshfield woman contacted police to report a dispute between her and her sister, a 61-year-old Marshfield woman. She stated that their father had just passed away and she and her sister were having a disagreement about some of their father’s belongings. The sisters were warned that they may be cited for disorderly conduct if police had to return

8.22.20 at 1332
Officers were dispatched to a location on the 900 block of S Central Ave. for a physical altercation. As officers were attempting to take the suspect into custody the suspect struck officers multiple times before he was placed into hand restraints. As a result of the initial altercation, a 41-year-old Marshfield man received multiple injuries that required medical attention. The suspect was medically cleared and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.

The complainant reported his children believed they were followed by a man in the described vehicle while walking their dog. The vehicle was not known to be associated with the neighborhood. Contact was made a 21-year-old Marshfield male who explained he was in the neighborhood looking for a garage sale and then he pulled over to wait for the garage sale to open up.

A Marshfield woman turned in a Samsung s10 cell phone found on the bike path at 500 W Depot St. The phone is being held at the Marshfield Police station

8.24.20 at 1337
An off-duty officer reported a 46-year-old Marshfield man appeared to be violating his bond conditions at a location on S. Central Ave. Officers made contact with the man and confirmed that he was in an establishment that served alcohol and that he had been consuming alcohol, which violated conditions of his bond. The man was also warned for previous inappropriate behavior at that location and was informed he was not allowed in the business anymore. The man left the business and charges are being requested through the Wood County DA.

8.24.20 at 1438
An anonymous complaint reported a 34-year-old Marshfield male was violating his bond conditions at the above location. Contact was made with the 34-year-old who was found to be in violation. He was transported to the Wood County Jail after Covid screening. Charges for felony bail jumping will be directed to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

8.24.20 at 1728
A Marshfield woman reported her wallet was missing from her vehicle. She was unsure if someone stole her wallet or if her wallet fell out of her vehicle while running errands during the evening hours. The woman provided the officer with the names of two individuals that were in her vehicle unattended however it was determined they did not take the wallet based off the timeline provided to police. The woman stated she was going to follow up with another male subject that was in her vehicle regarding the wallet as she did not want police contacting that male at this time. There are no other suspects.

8.24.20 at 1918
A 17-year-old Marshfield woman reported that an unknown person(s) removed approximately $420.00 in cash from an unlocked vehicle in her driveway without her permission. The case is under investigation.

8.25.20 at 1337
The general manager of Kwik Trip reported damage to curbing at the business on S. Draxler Dr. that was caused by the registered owner of a Chevrolet Silverado. Pictures of the damage was taken and the registered owner was contacted who admitted to driving over the curb but did not notice any
damage to property.

8.25.20 at 1900
A 25-year-old Marshfield man reported a verbal disturbance that was taking place at the 700 block of S Cherry Ave. Contact was made with a 42-year-old Marshfield male and a 37-year-old Marshfield female. The male and female were in a verbal altercation regarding the male’s drinking habits. The altercation did not meet the criteria for a domestic violence-related offense. Parties were separated for the night.

8.25.20 at 1639
An Arpin woman contacted police after she was involved in a single-vehicle accident which included property damage. The woman stated that while traveling southbound through the back ally at the 500 block of North Central her breaks failed not allowing her to stop the above vehicle. The vehicle then struck a garbage dumpster owned by advanced disposal and damaged fencing at the above address. The owner of the business was contacted in reference to the damage to property and advanced disposal was contacted to have the dumpster put back in place. There does not appear to be any damage to the dumpster itself.

8.26.20 at 1104
The asset protection manager reported that a 34-year-old Marshfield man concealed merchandise (property of Festival Foods) and left the store passing all final points of sale making no efforts to pay for the merchandise. Officers located the man and placed him under arrest. He was transported to Marshfield Police Department for booking procedures and was released. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

8.26.20 at 1509
Two coins in display coin sleeves were left by an unknown person at the Marshfield Police department. The found property is being held at the police department.

8.26.20 at 1549
A Marshfield woman called dispatch during a very heated verbal altercation in front of a location on S. Maple Ave. between her 44-year-old daughter and a 38-year-old Marshfield man. This verbal altercation was regarding the man coming to the residence and confronting the woman or her allegedly knocking on his door earlier. The woman stated to officers that due to the man’s hostile demeanor she felt threatened by his actions. The man was taken into custody without incident, transported to the station for booking procedures, and subsequently posted bond for the required $150. 72-hour no contact prohibition was enforced as victim and suspect had previously resided together. A charge of Disorderly Conduct-Domestic will be referred to Wood County District Attorney’s office.

8.26.20 at 1744
A 72-year-old Marshfield female reported her husband had left their residence after an argument. She stated he had not taken his medication and was possibly suicidal The man was located at the residence and informed officers he was not suicidal and the wife had overreacted when she believed he did not take his heart medication. He stated he left the residence to avoid any further arguments and spent his time looking for a new truck to buy.

 

8.26.20 at 0157
On the above date and time a Marshfield woman reported concerns about a 15-year-old Marshfield male and a 15-year-old Marshfield female. The juveniles have been entered into NCIC as missing. The juveniles were located in early afternoon and brought to the E.R. for evaluation.

8.26.20 at 1237
A Marshfield woman reported both of her son’s vehicles were damaged. Officer took photographs of the damage. The woman stated her son is currently incarcerated so she called in to report this incident. Her younger daughter stated she heard some loud noises outside 8.26.20 at 0100. There are no suspect(s) regarding the damaged rear car windows. A neighborhood canvas was conducted, no persons observed or heard anything. The video was also checked at neighbors and it did not capture anything related to this incident.

8.27.20 at 0813
Complainant reported that information was received that a 34-year-old Marshfield male made concerning statements in regards to guns and alternative lifestyles. He expressed hateful statements towards groups of people but no one specific or employees of Wal-Mart. The male is suspended from his employment for these statements. Contact was made with the male who said he didn’t threaten anyone specific but just expressing his thoughts. Officer advised him of the dangers and social consequences for expressing those thoughts and opinions. At this time nothing criminal was found to have occurred.

8.27.20 at 1028
Employees from Hilltop Park Apartments wanted to report that within the last month there has been a lot of pickup truck activity late at night in their parking lot. They stated there was vulgar language spray-painted on the blacktop and since have removed it. They also reported that the individuals have been messing around with tenant mailboxes and will sit and look out of their vehicles. At this time there are no known suspects. They are asking for extra patrol.

8.27.20 at 1409
A Marshfield man came to the station to report that his ex-g/f, a 47-year-old Marshfield woman, had yelled some vulgar comments at him after he left a business location on N. Central Ave. the man admitted that he had approached the vehicle that the ex was in with her new b/f and words were exchanged. The woman and her b/f, a 51-year-old Marshfield man were contacted via telephone. They stated that the man had come up to them and started saying things. The woman denied saying any vulgar comments. The woman and her new b/f both have active warrants for failure to appear. They refused to tell officers where they were at, come to that station, and stated they were currently homeless. Both were advised to contact the clerk of courts regarding their court cases. All parties told to not make contact.
