Police Reports: Tenant Behind on Rent Threatens Landlord

10.24.19 at 1847
A 51-year-old Marshfield male reported that his tenant on S. Central Ave was multiple months behind on rent. When he contacted the tenant about the late rent payments, the tenant made verbal threats toward him. Contact was made with the tenant who was advised to cease contact with the landlord. The complainant advised he was going to proceed with an eviction process.

10.25.19 at 1713
A 30-year-old Withee woman reported that she and her husband have been receiving unwanted text messages from a previous mutual acquaintance. She said that about three weeks ago she asked the 41-year-old New London man to stop texting her, but he has continued. Phone contact was made with the man and he was told to stop all contact with the couple. The man agreed to comply, indicating he had already deleted both of the numbers from his phone.

10.26.19 at 1335
A 16-year-old female reported that an 18-year-old female was in violation of a restraining order when contact between the two was made while at Wal-Mart.

10.28.19:
Seven cats were abandoned in a crate at Marshfield Area Pet Shelter. It’s unknown who would have done it. All the cats were males and about a year old. They were not microchipped and did not have any collars or tags.

10.31.19 at 1735
During a compliance check by Probation and Parole an odor of marijuana was detected. A 38-year-old Marshfield male admitted to smoking marijuana and was taken into custody for a probation violation. During a search of the male, a glass smoking device used to smoke marijuana was located in his possession. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
