  • 12.26.18 at 17:31: A man came to MPD with suspicious material he claims to have located in a 38 year-old Marshfield woman’s personal belongings and turned it over to an officer. Investigation to continue.
  • 12.26.18 at 08:02 (reported): A 33 year-old woman contacted police after finding that $3,720 was missing from a secured lock box inside her residence. Follow-up to continue.
  • 12.25.18 at 23:44: A Marshfield woman reported that a 41 year-old Greenwood man left her residence in a pickup truck with his six year-old daughter. She stated the man was intoxicated and could hardly stand. She stated he also backed into her roommate’s car when he backed out of the driveway. The truck was located on Highway 13 near Mann Road. A traffic stop was initiated and after having the man perform SFST, he was arrested for OWI 4th and OAR (OWI related). The man was booked at Marshfield PD and transported to Marathon County Jail. The man was issued citations and an accident report was completed.
  • 12.23.18 at 14:31: A 50 year old Marshfield male with a valid DOC warrant was observed walking down the 200 block of N. Central Ave. Officer followed the male into the Kwik Trip bathroom where he was observed manipulating a crystal-rock like substance, attempting to quickly insufflate it. Male was taken into custody for the warrant, and charges of possession of methamphetamine and THC will be requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
  • 12.23.18 at 12:20: Marshfield EMS and an officer were requested to respond to the above location for a female who was found on the sidewalk who was just attacked by two pit bull type dogs. The owner of the dogs was located and is in the process of obtaining vaccination paperwork for our follow-up. (edited: 12/30/18 18:47)
  • 12.22.18 at 12:57: Sacred Heart Church reported an unidentified juvenile broke into the church and took several items while also damaging the safe.
  • 12.21.18 at 11:00: 17 year-old complainant reported that while driving through the Wildwood Zoo a 17 year-old Marshfield female was harassing her. The 17 year-old female was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 16 year-old female. The complainant stated the 17 year-old was yelling at her from the vehicle but could not hear what she was saying and noted the 17 year-old threw an object at her vehicle. The complainant advised she was followed from the zoo back to Columbus High School. The 17 year-old female got out of the vehicle and stated “I’m going to kill you.” The complainant stated the principal came out to diffuse the situation and the 17 year-old left the high school. After numerous attempts to contact the 17 year-old female and her mother, a citation for disorderly conduct was issued via email.
  • 12.21.18 at 13:10: A 19 year-old female contacted police after she was involved in a physical altercation with her live-in boyfriend, a 19 year-old Marshfield man. During the incident she stated that the man made suicidal statements and placed a butter knife to his throat. She then contacted police and the man fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. An ATL was requested for the man, no known location at this time.
  • 12.20.18 at 18:00: A 60 year-old Marshfield woman contacted Marshfield EMS because she could not walk and had consumed too much alcohol. Female was also making suicidal statements. Paramedics transported the female to Marshfield Medical Center, where Wood County Crisis was contacted and a contact red sheet was left. Further evaluation will be conducted when the female has been medically cleared by medical staff.
