A complainant reported that he had some medication stolen by a 27-year-old female. An officer made contact with the female who denied any knowledge of what happened to the pills. There is no additional information as of right now to investigate this matter further. See taped report for more details.
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective brake lamp and expired registration. Contact was made with a 32-year-old Marshfield male. The male had two active Marshfield warrants and was taken into custody. The defendant was transported to the Marshfield Police Department. The correct amount of bond was posted and he was given a new court date. He was also given several citations and a written warning.
A traffic stop was conducted on a 22-year-old Spencer female for defective high-mounted stop lamp, cracked windshield, and expired registration. During the stop officers detected the odor of raw marijuana emitting from the vehicle and a search was conducted. Officers located several items of contraband. The female was arrested for possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor bail jumping. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA. See report for further details.
May 29
A 64-year-old Marshfield male reported that someone had stolen approximately 10 gallons of gas out of his truck that was sitting in his driveway. A POP form was filled out for extra patrol. No suspects at this time.
A 27-year-old Marshfield female reported that a 23-year-old Marshfield male physically assaulted her causing some of her ribs to be broken. Photographs were taken and the male was arrested where he was later transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA. See report for further details,
May 30
During a traffic stop K-9 Rika indicated to a controlled substance inside the vehicle. As a result a 29-year-old Marshfield male was arrested for possession of cocaine. The male was booked and released. A request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County DA’s Office.
A 29-year-old Marshfield male contacted dispatch advising a 37-year-old Marshfield male left the above listed location with his car and had not returned. The 37-year-old Marshfield male later returned to the residence with the vehicle. The male was taken into custody for an active warrant and for misdemeanor bail jumping and later transported to the Wood County Jail.
June 1
The Pastor from a Marshfield church called to report that an unknown male individual was observed entering the church through an unlocked door. The suspect is viewed for roughly four minutes within the church looking into the collection metal drop boxes. The suspect pulls one of the collection boxes off of the wall, which contained mass donation money and proceeds to leave the church. The surrounding area was searched on foot along with other business video surveillance systems. Suspect was wearing all black clothing, gloves, hood, and face mask. Jacket has bright reflective lining on back and sleeves.
A 65-year-old Marshfield man stated that at some time during the night, his vehicle was intentionally damaged by an unknown individual. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot at an apartment complex. The damage was caused by a sharp object which was dragged across the drivers side, side panel of the vehicle from the head light all the way to the rear wheel well. No suspect information at this time for follow up.
A 45-year-old Marshfield female was arrested at the Marshfield Police Department during a separate incident when it was learned that she had a valid Wood County warrant. She was booked and then transported to the Wood County Jail after she was unable to post the required bond.
June 2
An 85-year-old Hewitt woman reported a white truck failed to stop for the stop sign at an intersection in Marshfield and struck her vehicle. The truck continued northbound and failed to return to the crash scene. A crash report was completed. No suspects at this time. No further involvement.
June 3
A 49-year-old Marshfield woman reported possible disturbing and illegal behavior from a drone observed outside her residence. No suspects at this time. She is asking for extra patrol around dusk to possibly identify the drone operator as the operator may have inappropriate pictures of her daughter.
A 23-year-old Marshfield man stated that while he was at work his bike was tampered with. The man stated that his bike was upright chained to the bike rack near the garden center when he noticed around 2:30 p.m. that the bike rack was moved several feet and his bike was now laying on the ground with a flat front tire. The man did not have any suspects and there was no video footage available at Menards. He spoke with the Managers and they stated they plan to move the bike rack to a location where it is under surveillance. The man wished for the incident to be documented. No further action.
