11.13.19 at 1451
Upon request of an unknown male, a 78-year-old Marshfield woman purchased $8,000 in Ebay, Walmart, and Target gift cards to settle a debt that she was told would fix her computer. She then relayed the card number to the unknown male over the phone. It was confirmed by a local computer company that she was scammed out of the money from an untraceable site overseas. She then alerted her bank and froze all accounts in fear of more fraud activity. She is also in the process of having her computer cleaned by a local company.

11.15.19 at 1017
A roaming cat was reported on E. Blodgett St. Officers located the adult orange and white cat without a collar or tags. The cat was taken to MAPS and placed in a pen with food and water.
11.15.19 at 2047
Officers were called to assist with a 20-year-old female that was out of control that had walked away from a group home. Officers assisted in restraining the female because she was in traffic and was taking her clothes off. Ambulance was called to assist with administrating medication to help the female calm down. The female was transported to the ER to be evaluated for emotional and physical concerns.

Officers responded to a disturbance between an 18-year-old Marshfield female and a 19-year-old Marshfield male. Both parties shared a similar recollection of events and stated that the female was upset about relationship issues. She began throwing various items throughout the apartment and was cut by broken glass. The disturbance did not meet the statutory requirements for a domestic abuse related offense. Both parties were separated for the evening.

Following a disturbance a 41-year-old male was arrested for a probation hold. He was booked at the Marshfield Police Department and then was transported to the Wood County Jail.

A 43-year-old Abbotsford man was taken into custody in the 400 block of North Central Ave for operating without a valid license (2nd offense). The man was booked, released and issued citation with a new court date.

A 23-year-old Abbotsford man was arrested during a traffic stop for OWI 2nd offense. He was transported to Marshfield PD for booking and released.
11.16.19 at 0140
Officers responded to a physical disturbance at a location on S. Central Ave. between a 30-year-old Marshfield male and a 30-year-old Milwaukee male. Multiple witnesses stated that the Marshfield male caused a disturbance while inside the location. He was asked to leave by staff and then was involved in a physical altercation in the back parking lot. The Milwaukee male left the scene prior to officers arrival.
The Marshfield male was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Marshfield Police Department for booking procedures. He was later released to a sober adult. Charges are being requested on the Milwaukee male for battery. Charges are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
11.17.19 at 1132
Wood County dispatch received a 911 hang up at a location on N. Maple Ave. Upon call back a 43-year-old Marshfield woman answered and stated that everything was fine at the residence. Officers arrived and the woman was outside still stating everything was okay and her “husband” and daughter were inside.
Initially officers were not allowed to speak with the daughter, but she was allowed outside and was visibly upset. The 13-year-old stated she called 911 due to her parents fighting and her dad pushing her mother from behind and swearing at her. The man became hostile towards officers and was detained during investigation due to his aggressive behavior. Probation and Parole placed a hold on the 42-year-old Marshfield man. The man was booked, transported to MMC ER for medical clearance and then to Wood County jail for the probation hold. A charge of Disorderly Conduct referred to Wood County District Attorney’s office.
11.17.19 at 0214
A 36-year-old man was arrested for possession of cocaine and fentanyl with intent to deliver following a traffic stop. The man was transported to Wood County Jail. Charges will be requested through the District Attorney’s office.
11.17.19 at 1412
A 48-year-old Marshfield man was arrested at a N. Weber Ave location for domestic disorderly conduct. He was transported to this department for booking. The man signed the conditional release contact prohibition agreement form, posted the required $150 bond, and was released without incident. The victim did not sign the domestic abuse contact prohibition form. A request for a charge of domestic disorderly conduct is being requested through Wood County district attorney’s office.
11.18.19 at 1243
A 74-year-old Marshfield male called 911 requesting help. Upon officer arrival the male was intoxicated and stated he called because he wanted someone to talk to. This is the tenth time the male has used 911 services for no legitimate purpose. Nine days prior charges were referred to the district attorney for the same offense. An addition charge of 911 system abuse will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s office.

Staff at MAPS reported six cats being dropped off at MAPS in a dog crate left in their front entryway. No collars or microchips were found, cats were placed in pens with fresh food and water.
11.19.19 at 2036
A traffic stop conducted in the 100 block of W 2nd St. Officers detected an odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle upon making contact with the driver. A 22-year-old Marshfield male subject was found to be in possession of 1.2 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was on probation and was place on a probation hold. He was transported to the Marshfield PD for booking procedures and then to the Wood County Jail for holding.
11.19.19 at 2000
Officers responded to a report of a juvenile hitchhiking/walking down Yellowstone Dr. While enroute, officers were advised that the “juvenile” had been picked up by a red SUV. While enroute, the officer saw a red SUV northbound on Veterans Parkway. The officer initiated a traffic stop on Veterans at Palmetto.
The “juvenile” identified himself as a 21-year-old Hewitt man. The man indicated he had an outstanding Taylor County arrest warrant. Wood County dispatch confirmed the outstanding Taylor County warrant and also indicated that there was a valid P&P hold. The man had admitted to drinking alcohol and PBD’d 0.121. The man also had a water bottle filled with whiskey in his sweatshirt pocket. The man was arrested and transported to MDPD for booking. He was then transported to the Wood County jail.
11.20.19 at 0823:
A 33-year-old Marshfield woman reported that a 42-year-old Marshfield man became aggressive towards her while she was parked in the vicinity of the Marshfield Middle School. Contact was made with the man. He was given a written warning for harassment and told to stay away from the complainant.
11.20.19 at 1335:
A 27-year-old Arpin woman called to report a “road rage” type disturbance that occurred in the area of E. 4th Street to the 300 block of S. Peach Ave. are. She admitted that she mistakenly had pulled in front of another driver. This evolved to the unknown driver tailgating her in which the 27-year-old gave the middle finger toward the female driver. The gesture was returned and the 27-year-old brake checked. The tailgater followed her several blocks and pulled up next to her at her job. The unknown woman was video taping her, yelling at her for her driving behavior and then stated to her to the effect of, “Be ready sweetie, because someone is going to come find you tonight.” The woman was advised to be aware of her surroundings, report anything suspicious, and tips for avoiding road rage incidents.

A 36-year-old Marshfield woman reported hearing from her 17-year-old daughters that a driver of a Buick LeSabre was slowing/stopping and waving at the younger girls. Contact was made with a 60-year-old Marshfield male and explained the behavior and denied any ill intent.
11.20.19 at 1712
A 59-year-old Marshfield male reported a fire in a wooded area on the north side of a property at W 9th St. Investigation revealed the fire was attended to by a 47-year-old homeless man; however the location of the fire in the wooded area represented a safety concern. The man and the fire department extinguished the fire. The man was provided temporary housing for the evening.

A black lab with no collar was reported in the area of Columbus High School. The dog was taken to MAPS and placed in a cage with fresh food. The owner was located and contacted.
11.20.19 at 2300:
Complainant reported damage to the driver’s side rear tire on their vehicle. There were multiple cuts or tears in the side wall of the tire and the loss of air pressure occurred in Colby but based on a previous incident there may be an intentional action that occurred in Marshfield.
