  • 10.19.18 at 2:15: A Marshfield woman reported stalking behavior from her ex-boyfriend, a 20 year-old Marshfield male and theft of her neighbor’s property. Contact was made with the male and other individuals via a traffic stop. The male was issued a formal stalking warning letter and the driver of the vehicle, a 19 year-old Marshfield male, was warned for theft.
  • 10.15.18 at 13:23: A 22 year-old Wautoma man was stopped by loss prevention after he had taken the listed items (insulated jacket, men’s work boots), removed their price tags, and then proceeded to walk past the last point of sale. The man has several open court cases he is out on bond for in different area counties. The man was taken into custody, booked, and released. Charges of retail theft, misdemeanor bail jumping will be referred to Marathon County District Attorney’s Office.
  • 10.14.18 at 1:18: Complainant reported that a 27 year-old Marshfield female threw a bottle at her vehicle and damaged her windshield. The female left prior to officer arrival. Management stated that they wouldn’t be able to review footage until the next day. The following day, she called reporting that she had made contact with the female and they were in a civil agreement to have the windshield fixed. No further action needed by law enforcement.
  • 10.14.18: A business owner contacted police in regards to someone dumping garbage on their car lot property located across the street from the listed business. Contact was made with a 65 year-old Marshfield female who placed the items there but called the garbage company to pick up the larger items, which they had yet to do. The garbage company requested garbage cans be placed on the west side of the alley, which ends up being on the car lot property. The female has already requested the garbage company to pick the cans up from a different location in the future.
  • 10.13.18, 12:04: A store contacted police after he observed a female subject remove Christmas ornaments from a shelf and conceal it in her clothing. The female then left the store without paying for the items and left the area in her car. A license plate was obtained for the vehicle and officers later made contact at her residence. The female initially denied stealing anything, but eventually admitted to taking the ornaments and turned them over to officers. the woman was booked at the MPD and was then released. Charges are being request through the Wood County DA as she had previously been cited for retail theft.
  • 10.13.18, 21:51: A traffic stop was performed on a 19 year-old Marshfield male in the 1700 block of N. Central Avenue. K9 Steffi alerted to the presence of controlled substances within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was performed and illegal items were located. The suspect was transported to the MPD for booking procedures and was later released. A request for charges will be filed with the Wood County District Attorneys Office.
  • 10.13.18, 23:00: Officers responded to a disturbance involving two subjects. Both subjects were highly intoxicated and had a different recollection of the event. Both subjects stated they had injuries, but were unable to substantiate when or if they happened during the incident. They were separated for the remainder of the evening.
  • 10.13.18, 2:00: A 21 year-old woman reported that she was sexually assaulted by a 21 year-old male following a ride home from the bar. As a result of the investigation, the male was taken into custody and booked at the MPD. After booking was complete, the male was released after meeting the misdemeanor bond screening. Charges for 4th degree sexual assault will be forwarded to the wood County District Attorney’s Office.
  • 10.12.18, 2:00: a 40 year-old Marshfield man reported an attempted sexual assault on his ex-wife. Officers spoke to a 38 year-old Marshfield female regarding the allegations. After an interview was conducted, charges on a 33 year-old Chili male will be forwarded to the Wood County D.A for Fourth Degree Sexual Assault.
  • 10.13.18, 21:36: A 35 year-old Marshfield female was arrested on a Marshfield warrant after a traffic contact. K9 Steffi alerted to the presence of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle. A search located methamphetamine, prescription medication and drug paraphernalia. The female was booked and transported to the Wood County Jail.
  • 10.13.18, 20:10: A traffic stop was conducted and the odor of marijuana was found to be coming from the vehicle. A search located a plastic bag containing marijuana. An 18 year-old Marshfield male was arrested, booked, and released. Charges were requested through Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
