Port Edwards Girls Topple New Lisbon

Port Edwards used a 12-0 run in the final three minutes of the first half to gain the momentum going halftime, and stayed the course in the final 18 minutes to pick up a 60-43 win over New Lisbon.

A 25-22 Port lead with three minutes left in the first half  turned in a comfortable 37-22 halftime lead with the Blackhawks’ big run.

Taylor Martin led Port with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists.

Bella Hanten scored a season-high 7 points and had a career-best 13 rebounds. Katerina Hamus added 9 points and had 10 rebounds.

Leading scorer for the New Lisbon Rockets was Libby Rogers with 20 points.
