MADISON, Wis. – On a day when treats are plentiful throughout the United States, the estimated Powerball jackpot has reached $1 billion for the Monday, October 31, 2022, drawing.

If a player wins tonight’s jackpot, it will be the second largest jackpot in Powerball’s 30-year history and fifth largest jackpot in U.S. history.

During the weekend, Powerball players nationwide won more than $38 million in lower-level cash prizes including a $50,000 winning ticket sold in Wisconsin at the Home Front Travel Mart on 200 State Road 12 & 16 in Camp Douglas for the Saturday, October 29 drawing.

Other non-jackpot, weekend Powerball winners across the country included six tickets (CA-2, MD, MI-2, TX) that each won a $1 million prize and a ticket in Florida that won a $2 million prize. In addition to a win in Wisconsin, there were 80 tickets nationwide that won a $50,000 prize.

“This is only the second time that Powerball’s jackpot has reached $1 billion,” said Drew Svitko, Powerball Product Group Chair. “While playing for a jackpot of this magnitude is exciting, please remember to play responsibly.”

The next Powerball drawing will take place tonight at 9:59 p.m. CT. Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in that day’s drawing.
