OnFocus – Wood County Parks & Forestry Department is looking for First Responders or Medical EMT’s to assist visitors during the winter season at Powers Bluff this year.

The park recently opened to members of the public looking to use the trails for cross country skiing or the skiing, tubing and snowboarding hill.

According to the Wood County website, the Parks and Forestry Department will be offering $15/hour for a first responder. The applicant must be available during the Powers Bluff winter sports operation hours and must have prior experience as an EMT or first responder.

The website also states, “Knowledge of outdoor emergency medical services related to ski hill runs, tube slide runs, and ski trail injuries is required.”

The 70-acre park is located two and a half miles southwest of Arpin or 15 minutes southeast of Marshfield.
