As reported in  volleyballmag.com, Pro Volleyball Federation has announced plans to launch their debut season in 2024.

The Pro Volleyball Federation announced its presence Thursday and said it will begin play in February 2024, calling itself “real pro volleyball and the premier women’s professional volleyball league in North America.”

The organizers, while making their announcement, revealed that Columbus, Ohio, and Dallas-Fort Worth will be two of what it expects to be eight to 10 cities the first season.

Notes:

  • Players will earn a “living wage” the league said, about $60,000 per year
  • Players on championship teams could make $100,000
  • Athletes Unlimited Volleyball will be moving to the fall of 2023, so players could play year-round
  • League One Volleyball has announced plans to begin its league in 2024, but details have not been released
  • League cities and owners will be released in the coming weeks
