Propane Truck Rollover in the Town of Stettin

TOWN OF STETTIN, WI (OnFocus) – On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at approximately 10:27 a.m., the Marathon County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call about a propane truck that was involved in a vehicle roll-over crash near the intersection of Maple Creek Drive and North 30th Avenue, in the Town of Stettin.

The driver of the tanker reported a leak from the tank because of the crash. Fire units from SAFER and the Village of Maine, Marathon County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and Marathon County Emergency Management members responded to the scene.

During the investigation, it was determined the tanker leak was minor, and there was no threat of fire or hazardous fumes to the public. At this time, there is no threat to the public. Any further updates will be posted to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
