ProVision Partners to Host “Chick Chat” Event to Educate on Raising Chickens

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – If you’ve considered raising your own chickens, now is the chance to learn more.

ProVision Partners Cooperative’s “Chick Chat” event returns March 14 at 6:00pm. The presentation will feature speaker Josh Sabo, a local expert who raises chickens, and Lynette Miller, a Purina Feed Sales Specialist. Learn how to get started with chickens and grow your own eggs at home. Limited spots are available – call 715-387-1045 to reserve your spot.

“We are getting geared up for chicken season and it’s going to be a big one,” said Taylor Willson, lifestyle specialist at ProVision Partners.

ProVision Partners works with Sunnyside Hatchery in Beaver Dam, WI and the chicks can be ordered at several of our ProVision Partners locations in Marshfield, Stratford, Hixton, Seymour, Luxemburg, and Manitowoc.

“You can order your chicks now and I don’t recommend waiting,” said Willson.

Generally, people get their chicks in April and May, but later times can be scheduled.

ProVision Partners also offers assistance with feed, housing, medication, and other care tips and products for chicks.

“All of our feed locations will have our homemade products and Purina products,” said Willson. “We have everything that you need – from feed to supplies.”
