Downtown Boutique to Donate Sales to Local Nonprofits
Marshfield – Downtown Marshfield boutique “Rae Baxter’s Fashions” will be hosting “Rae’s Week” to celebrate founder Rae Baxter, with each day of the week January 27-31 dedicated to a different area nonprofit.
“On each respective day, we will be donating 10% of sales to a different local nonprofit,” explained Carol Knauf, owner. “We wanted to give back in memory of Rae Baxter, who was a pioneer businesswoman in our community and a supporter of many causes.”
Featuring fashions for women of all ages, shoppers are encouraged to visit on the following days to benefit a local nonprofit. On the respective day, 10% of all sales will be donated to these causes:
Monday, January 27: Marshfield Area Pet Shelter
Tuesday, January 28: Marshfield Area United Way’s “Nutrition on Weekends” Program
Wednesday, January 29: The Hannah Center
Thursday, January 30: Marshfield Professional Police Association
Friday, January 31: Ronald McDonald House
Knauf plans to make “Rae’s Week” an annual tradition.
“This time of year, between the weather and the post-holiday letdown, it’s easy to start feeling a bit down. That’s why we wanted to establish a celebration week that makes it fun to get out and buy local,” said Knauf. “Giving back to the community while shopping is a great way to beat the winter blues!”
