Rapids Opens Season with Doubleheader Thumping of West

Wisconsin Rapids (OnFocus) – The Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders opened the season with a doubleheader thumping of Wausau West, coming away with 11-1 and 19-0 wins.

In Game 1, Rapids had 15 hits. Megan Clary(3-3), Meghan Jochimsen(2-4) and McKenna Williamson had doubles for Rapids.

Hayley Wagner was 4-4 and had a double and Kendall Ziegahn was 2-2.

Clary and Allison Martin had home runs for the Red Raiders.

Rhiannon Carroll earned the win, scattering four hits and striking out 5 while walking two.

In Game 2, Rapids pounded out 14 hits. Clary 2-3, Jochimsen 2-5, Wagner 2-5, Martin 3-4, and Ziegahn 2-3.

Ziegahn and Martin had doubles, Jochimsen and Williamson tripled, and Clary had a home run.

Clary picked up the win, striking out 7, walking 2 and giving up 1 hit in three innings of work.
