July 15, 2024 – Officers responded to Pick n Save for a male who was having suicidal ideations. Contact was made with the male and crisis was made aware. During contact with the male, he also reported a transaction between himself and another party who had given him pills in exchange for money. A protection plan was put in place and charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

July 19, 2024 – A woman reported that she attempted to purchase concert tickets on Facebook. She paid a total of $3,200 through Venmo and did not receive the tickets. She believes the Facebook account is not real and she was scammed.

July 20, 2024 – Possession of THC: A traffic stop was initiated near South Central Ave/26th Street. During the stop, K9 Rika indicated to the presence of a controlled substance within the vehicle. A search was conducted and suspected THC vape cartridges were located. Charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

A 27 y/o Marshfield male was picked up on an active body only warrant through Wood County. As a result, charges for Possession of Methamphetamines and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia will be forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.

July 21, 2024 – A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 block of S Chestnut. During the stop a 31 year old Male provided a false name to Law Enforcement. The male was ultimately arrested for OWi 2nd and received other citations. A request for charges will be sent to the Wood County DA’s Office for Obstructing.

An anonymous party reported concerns about an apartment, where an 11-year-old girl was living. The anonymous party reported there was dog feces all over the juvenile’s room and bed and the living conditions were not good. Contact was made with a 29-year-old male who advised he did not want law enforcement in his residence. The 11-year-old juvenile left the house with her mother. Wood County Human Services was contacted regarding the complaint.

A 42 year-old Marshfield male was arrested for Domestic DC when officers witnessed him threatening his wife. The male was transported to the Wood County Jail and a request for charges will be forwarded to the Wood County District attorney’s office.

Caller reported drug activity occurring at a tenant’s apartment. Contact was made with the individuals involved and an Act 79 search was conducted. Both tenants were placed under arrest on a PO hold. They were then transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
