Eighth Annual Award Given for Work in Community
OnFocus – The Marshfield Area Community Foundation established the annual Anne Adler Community Service Award in 2010. This Award was created to honor Anne Adler and her dedication to the Marshfield Area Community Foundation. Bette Adler passed away in 2016 and we decided to honor both of the Adler sisters for their work with this award. The award is given to someone who significantly contributes to the quality of life in the Marshfield area. It is the mission of the Marshfield Area Community Foundation to “connect people who care with the causes that matter to enrich the quality of life in the Marshfield area”.
The eighth Annual Award is given to Paula Jero in recognition for her work with the community. Paula has helped numerous projects here in the community- Nutrition on Weekends, Tax Aides, Leadership Marshfield, Marshfield Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and is a MACCI ambassador. She served for 9 years on the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors and continues to serve on the Scholarships and Grant Committee. Her day job at United Way helps the community in so many ways as well!
The community foundation has had a great working relationship with United Way over the years. Other Community Foundations aren’t so lucky. Why has it worked for us? Because of Paula. She understands that we can be partners in many areas without stepping on each other’s toes.
How lucky we all are to have such a dedicated and service oriented individual volunteering for our community. We are all very grateful for all that Paula does for our community and proudly present this award as a small token of the gratitude for the work he does for our community.
