The Edgar Wildcats won their 8th WIAA State Football Title with a 36-6 win over Black Hawk/Warren IL.
Karter Butt led the Wildcats with 19 carries 171 yards and a Division 7 Championship Record 5 touchdowns. Teegan Streit added 44 yards on 19 carries along with completing one pass for 3 yards.
Black Hawk/Warren was led by Owen Seefrood with 17 carries for 96 yards. Eli Schliem added 29 yards rushing and was 4-7 for 27 yards passing with a touchdown and 2 interceptions.
Edgar won their first state title since 2016, Edgar has won previous titles in 2016, 2010, 2009 2001, 1999, 1992, and 1979.
