Regis/McDonell downed Assumption in Girls Soccer, 4-1.

“Regis/McDonell is the toughest competition we have faced this season,” said Assumption Head Coach Jim Wendels. “We gave up a few goals that were untimely in our momentum.”

“The game revealed some work we can do to get better and get the win hopefully in our homestand against Regis. The last twenty minutes of play we slowed down, possessed and passed better and kept the ball on attacking half,” explained Wendels.

Sarah Shaw scored the opening goal of the game for the Royals, but then Regis/McDonell scored a pair of first half goals to take a 2-1 lead into intermission.

Morgan Reichl had 15 saves in goal for the Royals.

“I was impressed tonight with the girls’ play as we are a young team feeling our way thru.” Wendels added.
