Aaron Rodgers is Staying with the Packers, Per Reports

GREEN BAY, WI (OnFocus) – After a long awaited decision, Aaron Rodgers has decided play for the Green Bay Packers for the foreseeable future, first reported by the Pat McAfee Show.

The Packers are reportedly making Rodgers the highest paid NFL player ever with a four-year, $200 million deal including $153 million guaranteed according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

McAfee refuted the report that a deal had been in place and said that Rodgers and the Packers are working toward a “cap-friendly” deal.

Rodgers had previously been considering retirement or playing for another team during this offseason but said he wanted to make a decision soon to help Green Bay with their offseason plans.

The contract extension will give the Packers some much-needed cap space that is slated to help them either franchise tag, or resign star wide receiver Davante Adams.

Rodgers will turn 39 during the 2022-23 season.
