GREEN BAY, WI (OnFocus) – The storied standoff between MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers appears to be at its end, for now.
Reports from Ian Rapoport indicate that people close to Rodgers have said the star QB will return to the Packers this season.
Rumors of the dispute between the two sides began surfacing on the night of the 2021 NFL Draft with Adam Schefter reporting Rodgers was unhappy with his situation in Green Bay.
The Packers drafted Rodgers’ presumed replacement, Jordan Love, in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Rookies reported to Packers training camp on July 24 while veterans will make their first appearance on July 28. Swirling reports doubted Rodgers would appear in a Packers’ uniform ever again.
Rodgers was seen last week working out with Packer offensive lineman David Bakhtiari at a fitness center in California.
Rodgers will be entering his 18th season with the Packers and will be turning 38 during the upcoming season.
