Marshfield (OnFocus)- The Wood County Sheriff’s Department surprised former Wood County Undersheriff Don Sedall with a birthday parade this past weekend to celebrate his 90th birthday.
The June 8th celebration was a surprise birthday parade that included members of the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, police representatives from the Town of Grand Rapids and Village of Port Edwards, and many friends and relatives.
“Don was very appreciative and we were very appreciative we had the opportunity to put this together,” said Sheriff Shawn Becker. “He put a whole career in at the department and was second in command for many years.”
With COVID-19 limiting birthday celebrations, the department is happy to help people celebrate parade-style when time and staffing allows.
Sedall’s birthday was on June 4th.
