Rhinelander Storms Back to Nip Tomahawk in Final Seconds

Landon Bates connected on a 19 yard field goal with three seconds left to lift Rhinelander to a 22-21 season-opening win over Tomahawk. The Hodags scored the game’s final 22 points after trailing 21-0 late in the second quarter.

James Heck rushed for 128 yards on 18 carries, and collected touchdown runs of 4, 21 and 8 yards.
