Rhinelander Trims Mosinee in Level 2 Playoff Tilt

Rhinelander (OnFocus) – Mosinee led at the half, 20-14, and after falling behind in the fourth quarter 27-20, came back late only to see their bid to down Rhinelander fall short, dropping a 27-26 Level 2 Playoff tilt.

The Indians had first half touchdown passes from Michal Dul to Davin Stoffel for 18 yards and Drake Grod for 59 yards. After Rhinelander took a 14-12 lead late in the second quarter, Drayton Lehman returned the ensuing kickoff 81 yards and with Dul’s two point conversion, Mosinee led 20-14 at halftime.

The Hodags took the lead with two second half scores, the last at 8:27, a 27-20 advantage.

Mosinee fought back and came within one when Dul connected with Lehman for a 66 yard strike with 1:31 left. The two point conversion was unsuccessful giving Rhinelander the 27-26 win.

Lehman hauled in 7 passes for 120 yards to lead all receivers.
