Voters came out in huge numbers to support central Wisconsin athletes, voting for the area’s top perfomer, as 3,708 sports fans read about the outstanding performances turned in by athletes.
Taking the title as OnFocus Athlete of the Week, November 20 – December 3 was Jack Antonuk of Rhinelander Boys Swimming, with 533 votes.
All five athletes up for nomination had strong voter turnout, a rarity with all five receiving support as the area’s top athlete in the time period:
- Danielle Minsaas, Marshfield Girls Basketball was runnerup with 533 votes
- Sydney Falteisek, Abbotsford Girls Basketball, 247 votes
- Sophia Coker, Athens Girls Basketball, 228 votes
- Tahlia Moe, Stevens Point Girls Basketball, 169 votes

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, November 20 – December 3
- Tahlia Moe, Stevens Point Girls Basketball – The senior guard, a four year started for Kraig Terpstra’s Panthers, set the school’s career mark in assists with 259, passing Panthers’ standout Maggie Negaard.
- Sophia Coker, Athens Girls Basketball – Coker had 21 points and 14 rebounds in Athens’ 59-15 thumping of Gilman, and is leading the 5-0 Bluejays with 17.4 points per game this season.
- Jack Antonuk, Rhinelander Boys Swimming – Antonuk collected a pair of first place finishes at the Wisconsin Rapids Raider Invite, the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Antonuk also was a member of two Rhinelander relays, the 200 freestyle and 200 medley.
- Sydney Falteisek, Abbotsford Girls Basketball – Falteisek filled up the stats sheet Friday evening as Abbotsford defeated Auburndale, 62-52. The junior guard scored 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, along with collectin 4 steals and dishing out 4 assists.
- Danielle Minsaas, Marshfield Girls Basketball – The Tigers are off to a 4-0 start, and Minsaas is scoring threat to be reckoned with. The senior guard poured in 29 points in Marshfield’s 69-53 win over Sun Prairie East.
