MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The City of Marshfield will begin the first phase of an
overlay project on St. Joseph’s Avenue. the week of August 14, 2023. There will be two phases, the west side (southbound driving lanes) and east side (northbound driving lanes).
Phase one will consist of the west side being closed down to all traffic. West side traffic will be shifted to the east side and reduced to one lane in each direction to maintain through traffic on St. Joseph’s Avenue.
The City of Marshfield will be providing traffic control for this project. Access to driveways will be limited and may at times have no access. If access is denied, it will be arranged ahead of time with the resident by a City of Marshfield employee.
The work performed will be concrete panel, curb, and storm structure repairs in preparation for an asphalt overlay. Upon concrete completion, American Asphalt will be scheduled to pave the surface and the Street Division will follow with pavement markings. Traffic will then be moved to the new pavement to duplicate this process. The duration of the project, weather dependent, will take three to four weeks per side and about eight weeks to complete.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this project. As always, please slow down in the construction zone. Any questions or concerns please contact the Street Division at 715-486-2081.
