MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield’s Rotary Winter Wonderland is celebrating a milestone after an incredibly successful 2024 season. Thanks to the generosity of the community and the dedication of volunteers and sponsors, the annual holiday light display achieved its budgeted financial goal and collected approximately 32,000 food items for local food pantries. This accomplishment is even more remarkable given the season’s shorter timeframe of just 33 days.

“We could not be more grateful for the volunteers, sponsors, and visitors who made this such a special season,” said Al Nystrom, Event Co-Chair. “Our guests were especially generous this year, donating over 32,000 cans of food in just 33 days. Monetary donations were very strong as well. We will finalize our payment to the food pantries in the upcoming months.”

While the lights have dazzled and donations have poured in, the work isn’t done just yet. Rotary Winter Wonderland organizers are calling for volunteers to assist with the take-down process at Wildwood Park this weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 11 from 9 AM to 1 PM, and no special skills are required to lend a hand. Volunteers under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult. Organizers are optimistic that with a strong turnout, the bulk of the work can be completed during this session.

If you’re able to volunteer this Saturday, head to Wildwood Park between 9 AM and 1 PM. Together, the community can wrap up another incredible year and start looking ahead to the 20th season of Rotary Winter Wonderland in 2025.
