Spencer (OnFocus) – Nelson & Melinda Weaver reported via social media that they have sold Maranatha Market to one of their employees, Martha Chupp. (The Weaver’s moved to the Tomah, WI area a few years ago and built a store called Cranberry Country Market.)

Chupp purchased the business July 1, 2020, and will relocate the business to the town of Spencer along HWY 13 in the vacant building (beside the Dollar General) that she purchased on July 30, 2020.

According to the post, plans are for Martha to operate Maranatha Market at the existing location until the new location is renovated for business by January 2021.

“We enjoyed serving the community and thank all our loyal customers that have made it successful,” said Weaver in the post. “We are confident that Martha will provide the same core values that we had – Godly Integrity, Commitment, Quality & Service. May the Lord bless her abundantly in her future and we encourage our loyal customers to support her as you have done for us.”

Maranatha Market supplies most grocery needs, offering quality meats & cheese, seasonal produce and fruit, a large selection of food items, and locally made products at affordable prices. Their market is currently located on County HWY F northeast of Spencer, Wisconsin. Visit shopmaranatha.com to view weekly specials, upcoming events, and to learn when products are arriving.
