MADISON, WI (OnFocus) – No one became a billionaire in the Saturday, November 5, 2022, Powerball drawing but in Wisconsin, five $50,000 winning tickets were sold.
$50,000 Powerball prize-winning tickets were sold at:
- Jetz, 6101 S 108th St., Hales Corners
- I-43 Dino Stop Shell Green Bay, 3285 Cedar Hedge Ln., Green Bay
- Triangle Market, 302 State St., Madison
- Kwik Trip, 2850 Prairie St., Prairie du Sac
- Kwik Trip, 9421 Hwy 16, Onalaska
The Powerball jackpot is a world record $1.9 billion or $929.1 million cash for the Monday, November 7 drawing.
The Monday night drawing will be the 41st Powerball drawing since the jackpot was last won on August 3 in Pennsylvania.
The jackpot run has tied the game record for the number of consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner. The only other Powerball jackpot run to reach 41 consecutive drawings
ended on Oct. 4, 2021, with a $699.8 million winner in California.
Earlier this year, a Wisconsin couple won $316.3 million when they co-won a $632.6 million jackpot with another player in California. The jackpot was the 19th Powerball jackpot won in the history of Wisconsin. The 19 wins put the Badger State fourth all-time on the list of most frequently winning Powerball states.
There are nine ways to win in Powerball. In last Saturday’s Powerball drawing, players nationwide won more than $74.9 million in lower-level cash prizes including:
- 16 – Match 5 tickets ($1 million – CA-3, CO-2, FL, GA, KY, MA, MI, MO, NJ, NY, PA-2, SD)
- 1 – Match 5 + Power Play ticket ($2 million – KY)
- 219 – Match 4+1 tickets ($50,000)
- 51 – Match 4+1+Power Play tickets ($150,000)
- 10.9 million winning tickets across all prize tiers
Monday’s Powerball drawing will take place at 9:59 p.m. CT. Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in that day’s drawing.
The odds of winning the $1 million Powerball prize are 1 in 11,688,054. The odds of winning a $50,000 prize are 1 in 913,130. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.201,338 million.
