Edgar (OnFocus) – Voting for the OnFocus Athlete of the Week saw a duo from Edgar receive the most votes for the week of May 30 – June 5.
Morgan Schnelle and Austin Dahlke of Edgar won the voting race in a landslide, receiving 1,713 votes.
Second place went to Drey Drexler of Stratford with 206 votes. Chase Higgins of Spencer was third with 169 votes, and fourth place went to Terrance Roberson of Auburndale with 139 votes.
OnFocus Athlete of the Week Nominees, May 30 – June 5
- Morgan Schnelle / Austin Dahlke, Edgar Track – The pair each collected three first place finishes at Edgar’s meet on Wednesday. Schnelle took first in the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes and the long jump. Dahlke added a trio of wins, taking the 200 and 400 Meter Dashes and the long jump.
- Chase Higgins, Spencer Baseball – Higgins was masterful on the mound for the Rockets in their 8-1 win over Owen-Withee. Higgins gave up 2 hits and walked 1 while striking out 10 Blackhawks in the win.
- Rhiannon Carroll, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Softball – Carroll came up big as Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln handled Wausau East in WVC action. She picked up both wins in the doubleader, giving up 5 hits in 7 innings in the circle, and didn’t allow an earned run. Carroll was 2X3 in each game, picking up a double and home run for the Red Raiders.
- Terrance Roberson, Auburndale Track – Roberson won the 100 Meter Dash and was the anchor for the Eagles’ first place finishes in the 4X100 Meter Relay and 4X200 Meter Relay at the Medford Invitational.
- Drey Drexler, Stratford Track – Drexler took the top spot in the shot put and discus at the Medford Invitational.
