MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield and Columbus Leadership Alliance (MCLA) Marshfield High School group sponsored a second annual district wide student t-shirt design contest to bring awareness to how connections help mental health.

MCLA is a student group supported by MACY (Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth). The contest theme was CARING, COMPASSION and CONNECTIONS.

Over 260 designs were submitted and the Student Services Team chose the top ten designs. Students at all grade levels were encouraged to vote on a design, with almost 1600 students voting.

The winning design is by Lauren Katzenberger.

“This is the 2nd annual t-shirt design contest MCLA has sponsored. MCLA works on events that bring awareness to issues such as mental health, but also tries to promote a positive school climate and positive relationships in the school,” said Joanne Greenlee, Grant School Social Worker. “The t-shirt contest was a way to involve students in our awareness campaign and to have a tangible product to continue our messaging.”

T-shirts can be ordered January 12th – January 26th at Premier Printing HERE.

  • T-shirts will be worn Friday, February 17, 2023.
  • Funds raised from t-shirt sales will go to the Marshfield School-Based Mental Health Consortium to help pay for mental health treatment for students who cannot afford therapy.
