Seven local athletes are in the running to participate in the WIAA Three-Point Shooting Competitions as wissports.net releases the first rankings.
In Girls Division 4, Stratford’s Breanna Ackley currently sits third in the state with a .472 average.
In Girls Division 5, Columbus Catholic’s Addison Baierl is in fourth place with a .475 average.
In Boys Division 1, Marshfield has four players in the top 10; Addison Hill is in second place with a .475 average, Anthony Posteluk and Bennett Koehn are tied for fifth place with a .455 average, and Sam Hinson is in ninth place with a .444 average.
In Boys Division 4, Neillsville’s Braden Trunkel is in 5th place with a .459 average.
The final rankings will be released after the final regular-season games in February. The top two players from each division that are not playing in the state tournament will be selected to participate.
