The Wood County Sheriff’s Department has released a notice about a registered sex offender to the public.
On Sept. 10, 2019, Paul A. Peterson, 47, was released from custody and resided at 1150 16th Street in Wisconsin Rapids.
Effective Feb. 14, he will reside at 7524 Bluff Drive in the town of Richfield.
In 2012, Peterson was convicted in Wood County for repeated sexual assault with the same child and for incest with a child. Peterson engaged in multiple sexual acts over a 6-month period with known victims.
Peterson is a Level 3 sex offender and has a lifetime GPS monitor in place.
